About Abi

Abi Unwin-Smith

Abi Unwin-Smith is a writer and performer based in London.

As The Raggedy Nymph, Abi gives voice to the mucky women of history and their beleaguered bits and oh my there is a lot of source material to draw from. These fantastical creatures may be doomed to draw the short straw in life  but there is no obstacle that can’t be overcome with their razor sharp wits and loose morals. The prudish amongst you may wish to enter the world of The Raggedy Nymph with caution. These are tales that could make even the saltiest fishwife blush.

Abi trained as an actor at Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon graduating in 2008, acting work came thick and fast, Abi was batting them off like flies. Some of her many credits include:

Milk (Bush Theatre), La Bohème (Soho Theatre/Opera Up Close), Unrestless (Old Vic Tunnels), Amphibians (Bridewell Theatre), Fret (The Yard) and Astronauts Wives Club (Soho).

As well as being a fabulous wellbeing advocate in her yoga and massage guises, she moonlights as a lecturer in creative writing at Brunel University.

You may also recognise Abi as the voice and co-creator of “Happy Floor” - an app for your fanny! Search Happy Floor in your app store to download it now!
